There are mainly two colours of Lavatera or
Mallow as it is also known,pink and white.Both shrubs need to be cut back hard in the 2nd or 3rd year of growth as if left unpruned they can run rampany and the flowers are smaller.

I really like Lavatera blooms. The plant was named
after the 17th century Swiss botanist.
