Фото in Egypt's name.. - фотограф silvia marmori - архитектура, путешествия, пейзаж

When choosing my images at Egypt, I thought about two things:
First, not to show monuments.. they have been widely shown before and much better!
The second thing was to add to my works some Egyptian Poetry, to share.
Well, it was difficult to find good translations to English… and it was, also, difficult for me, not to show this image! =)
Yes, it’s a temple, Dendera, but I was attracted by that mix of artificial and natural light that gave it such mood..
The verses to accompany it.. what about a part of an impressive poem “In Egypt’s name”? It’s an epic work narrating the history of Egypt, from the pharaonic era till present, written by the great poet Salah Jaheen..

"History may say what it wishes in Egypt name
Egypt, for me, is the most beloved and most beautiful of things.
I love her when she owns the earth, east and west.
And I love her when she is down, wounded in a battle.
I love her fiercely, gently and with modesty.
I hate her and curse her with the passion of the lovesick.
…….
My veins pulsating with a thousand tunes and rhythms.
In Egypt's name."

How many stories do these columns remember?!
