These pots, (Bottles Gourd / Cabaзas) are fixed to the rotating windmill’s structure with its opening side into the wind direction, aiming to give an alert sound to the miller at the middle of the night, every time the force of the wind increases to dangerous values.
Then, the miller has to wake up and turn quickly the sails rig more into the wind direction, for reducing the windmill rotating speed to a safe value again.
As you see, not an easy life…

This is a sharp and wonderful photo.
All details and colors are perfect; they are so vivid and perfectly photographed.
And I love the description of the "why" of these pots.....really, its a great idea to solve the windґs troubles...
