The two hour fire destroyed Tidewater bridge, built in 1917. It took more then two hours for about 60 firefighters to get the blaze under control. I wanted to take some nice shots of the flame but cops didn`t let anyone come close because of the heat coming from the blaze, or so they said. My friend called me on his cell to get my ass to the bridge with the camera. I was visiting my friends. its about 100 miles from where I live now. but i grew up in that city.

That is the fun of photograpy when taking pictures in some dangerous place. There is a feeling of anxiety and yet exitement.
The picture is very beautifull.

hey, i was standing in a safe distance from the blaze, i used 300mm lens to get this shot

I already explained in the descripting that cops didn`t let anyone come close. it was impossible to do that. this as close as I was allowed before they told everybody to leave or get arrested

This is much more what my eys want to see - perhaps a tad more foreground. I think the 3rd one was the best

I just don`t like your titles, somehow they do not have any feeling for the tragedy that always goes with fire. Just a personal thing.

Interesting shot even if it wasn`t as close as you wanted to be. I like the area of fire on the lower left.
