Jan, have you tried to shoot it from slightly different position - perhaps moving yourself about 15-30 degrees counter-clockwise and further away to include front crane completely. While main subject is the ship, carefully included surrounding would help to emphasise it and poor thought-of will distract. That`s of course my personal opinion only.

Btw, you`re in Hamburg, aren`t you?
