The Plaza de Armas (Plaza of Arms) is the name for the main square in many Latin American cities. Most cities constructed by the Spanish Conquistadores were designed on a standard military fashion based on a grid pattern, taken from the Roman Castrum, of which one of the blocks would be left vacant to form the Plaza de Armas. It is often surrounded by governmental buildings, churches, and other structures of cultural or political significance. The name derives from the fact that this are would be a refuge in case of an attack upon the city, from which arms would be supplied to the defenders.

Cusco is a city in southeastern Peru, near the Urubamba Valley (Sacred Valley) of the Andes mountain range. It is the capital of the Cusco Region as well as the Cusco Province. Cusco's altitude is around 3,300 m (10,800 ft). Cusco is the historic capital of the Inca Empire and was declared a World Heritage Site in 1983 by UNESCO. It is a major tourist destination and receives almost a million visitors a year. It is designated as the Historical Capital of Peru by the Constitution of Peru.

Спасибо.

Люди там живут примерно столько, сколько и мы. Наверное, потому что кефир не пьют.

Другое дело, что высоту трудно переносить с непривычки, мучит одышка, болит голова. Но для преодоления этого у них есть чай из листьев кока. Хотя кокаина в нем не очень много, его не рекомендуется вывозить, т.к. за границами Перу возможны осложнения с властями.
