This is a Paphiopedilum or 'slipper' orchid very rich in colour, but not quite fully in focus which I would prefer. The background is fine though perhaps taking a little from the flower which I find looks best against a plain background.I am an orchid judge and reasonable orchid photographer (I think) and am most impressed with this rich red specimen.In most orchids the 'art' is self contained in the subtle colours of the flower itself and I feel this image lacks a little of this detail.Overall though very impressive particularly for colour and texture which are well captured.
