ИМХО: правая сторона не "играет" на снимок. Может обрезать трубу и немного продлить кирпичи стены?

Hi Kristine,

first of all a very nice picture, but please try to avoid central compositions.
The light is excellent but for my taste a little too hard.
the lines are not aligned.
hand is cut off (don't do that that's cruel).
in front of the very nice girl a dark not very nice area.
No I judge not by the beauty of the girl on the picture that would be excellent, You have all the light, the location, the girl, the equipment. Now it's only you to make a good picture.
If i say wow yes nice picture like every one else because the like the nude pretty girl will not help you getting better pictures. even if i'm not correct with my criticism it will help you think.

I have the same problem all tell me nice good etc... but i do know it's not and all ahh's and ohhh's are for nothing good.

You can take this as idea for next time or leave it and you continue as you wish, my intention is to help and not tell how you have to do it.
I have anyway attached my variant but i think with this picture could be done way better as me.

Best Regards
Andre my variant of the photo

hi, Andre, and thanks for courage wink
actually i do like central compositions and especially because there is this idea in the classic photography to avoid these centralized compositions. i do not want to go after and based on some rules. i know how well currently contemporaries fight with classics what is correct and what is wrong, but guess what, everything depends on the purpose. so if i dont want to create intentionally classical nude pic, i will avoid classical rules, and not only avoid but basically i want to create rules for me.
yes, as you mentioned, hands are cut off and this as well as not aligned lines of windows i would change..
but after all i know this is very good picture. and taking into consideration that it was first time working with nude, i even think it's excellent.
besides, i certainly would prefer my own version of picture, which in my opinion is much more how i feel about all that, and this is important, isnt it?

Hi Kristine,

Hmmm sure it is a point of creativity and to break boarders and invent new views.
Fine fine smile
I would not comment on your picture if it would be bad.
I never comment on bad (in my eyes) picture, they might be modern art?

So if you intend to do central composition, give me more with the picture, as this is nice so far but i want more (nude or not does not matter) it must kick me, shock me what ever fill it with what ever (e)motion then central is fine to me. every thing else would give impression of a classic picture not cut correctly classic.
it would be not so dramatic new ways of view or creative enhanced.

i will watch your next picture for sure.

Take that as cheering...
Regards
Andre

actually this picture for me was and is more as a portrait. the portrait of model girl who had to pose naked in that workshop.. hmm.. you know, when she poses like this and like that and you try to see through it and suddenly in one moment there - it comes, through eyes and facial expression, of course.
yes, maybe this picture has more importance for myself then for spectators.

ps. i also think that women has different aesthetical and also ethical standards regarding "nudes" then men do.. and we certainly have different purposes when photographing them smile

kristine sergejeva:

I do see that! but her face seems to be out of focus, as the tube on the right has more focus as her face, so the girl get out of target.
The eyes with the facial expression fade away.

Hmmm wrong you express ->Yourself<-- with your pictures (in the first row you and not the model).
Pictures are meant to be something to show. If you show them here you will have only spectators.

I am happy it is this way. I actually prefer nude photographed by woman as they are different in a special way.

Andre

it's ok if you dont see it. it's enough that some photographers with for me more important opinion sees it, and see even much more (actually just because of one very important opinion of one contemporary photographer i did not cut totally this hand away, as she though that it gives this special feeling). and i should say though that they are exactly woman. and besides i value it much more.
no, i dont agree with you that pictures is for showing - pictures are for self-expressing. if for me it would be for showing then what's is more easy then create a factory of the same perfect quality images based on the same rules, especially if you are not dumb enough to learn these rules from your heart and follow them like in an army. formulas for success and "nice" pictures are easy and all the same.
as i told you, everything depends from the purpose. and you have to accept my purpose, if you are interested why it's like that and like that. and you can't push me to have your purpose, right? and that exactly makes this life so much more interesting..
