Photo Dr. Paulo de Frontin's rail overpass by Gilberto Bomfim

This is the only iron overpass and in turn the world. Opened by the railroad in 1898, has 82 feet long and rises 34 meters above the bed of the Rio Santana, with access by a small bridge leading to the old railway station of Vera Cruz.
