Natural and nice, what more does one need?... A simple single flower is as precious as a bouquet of exotic ones. Why not snip a bit of the top too for symmetry? smile )

Good resolution, color and saturation and DOF. You`re already aware of the onesmall nit.

Gorgeous color and nice and sharp, Todd. You have already nitted yourself on this one...but it`s still a wonderful flower shot and it has great DOF and all that technical stuff. smile Were you hopping down the bunny trail without me????

beautiful Todd!

I can easily overlook the bottom petal... the color and DOF knock my socks off! ( Now you`re responsible for my having cold toes!)

To me very much to like, there can be she and better she would look on a black background, but so alive

There are some wonderful examples of flowers photographed on black backgrounds. I am still waiting to buy some black velvet. I keep thinking that there will be a way to use the black background without removing the flower from the plant. I love to use the natural backgrounds but I still haven`t mastered how to do it correctly...

Hi Ya Toad ( umm.. I mean , Todd ). Don`t buy black velvet! Buy a poster size piece of black foam board! You can get it at Office Max... it`s portable and is what I used behind the flower in Dragon Fire. That flower was not plucked. The foam board`s cheaper than velvet.
:-)

Maybe you should change your online screen name to Toasty Toes...

This is an excellent image with nice colors and DOF. The only thing that seems slightly bothersome is the petal cut off at the bottom. It does not seem to be intentional(none of the other ones are cut off) and having it in the frame would not hurt the image (in my opinion would make it even better). However this is really not a huge deal and this is still an excellent flower photo for all it`s other qualities.
