The Other photo is total different of this, is the same lighthouse, but taken off in completely different hours and with 15 days of difference between it.
To another one it was taken off close to the 15 hours and this was already to the end of the afternoon, it could never have the same illumination and distinction of tonalities and color.
This side of the lighthouse is come back toward the sea, for where the sun disappears, what it implies more yellowish tones, had the hour where it was photographed.
I appreciated your attention applied in the comment of the photo, but in any way this photo does not have nothing to see with the other except the place.
Perhaps it is not a question technique, but yes, of visual impact.
Feels free to to evaluate or comment, when bedding or capacity exists to judge, the things they improve.

Beautiful photo... I like very much it`s expressivity. A dramatic sky, and savages rocks give a very expressive aspect to the building of lighthouse.
Pattern of the clouds perfectly match the pattern of the soil: very interesting shot.
