The Iron Bridge crosses the River Severn in Shropshire, England 1779-1781). It was the first arch bridge in the world to be made of cast iron, a material which was previously too expensive to use for large structures. However, a new blast furnace nearby lowered the cost and encouraged local engineers and architects to solve a long-standing problem of a crossing over the river.
In 1934 it was designated a Scheduled Ancient Monument[1] and closed to vehicular traffic.

Спасибо, Михаил. Это место дышит стариной, старые постройки, улочки, сохранены старые фабрики, которые сохранили и сделали "живым" музеем, например с выпечкой хлеба по старинным рецептам. Музей, к сожалению, мы не посещали, да и узнала я о нем уже потом в интернете)) В места с такой необычной атмосферой хочется возвращаться снова smile

Спасибо, Его. Да, солнце садится, но свет на домах пока есть. Ширшости как раз хватало, кочек не хватало, единственный выступ нашла, топталась там, отступать было некуда, дальше деревья и частная территория (с которой как раз и получится эллипс, думаю)! smile
