Lighthouse is located at Cape Letipea (Letipea neem), about 12 kilometers north-east of the town of Kunda.
Presumably, the first lighthouse was built here in 1805. In 1936 a new tower was built. It was blown up during World War II. The modern tower was built in 1951.
The lighthouse is a concrete tower with a quadrangular open space at the top, where the light unit.
