Gorgeous perspective! At what distance it was clicked?

Craig Hansen Craig Hansen #8 Tue 30 Sep 2003 03:55

Thank you Yuri! I took this shot yesterday morning from an elevation of about 1600m. Mount Fuji is 3776m high and comes straight out of the sea, so where I took it was actually already on the mountain; Maybe 15 kilometers from the trailhead.

It`s the father of cameras??!!;)
Beautiful image with a very nice perspective, impressive!!!
Excellent landscape!
Congrats Craig!

I hope you didn`t have any problem with the catastrophies in Japan...

Thanks Graca! Maybe I should be using Fuji film! wink Thanks for your concern about the earthquakes too! They were way up north in Hokkaido though, so we weren`t affected, but someday soon Mount Fuji is expected to blow it`s top. I want to try and take as many photos of it as I can before it does.

excellent work! myself, I would crop the foreground and try a panorama style, if you might take that as a suggest! rgds - Fred

Thanks for the suggestion Fred! I was actually considering the same myself. I do like this rather unknown vantage point though which I recently discovered and I think I will go back and try an even wider panorama stitching together 2 or 3 photos.
