I think my editing has deviated the photo from your original idea..

These days photo out of camera with all normal settings usually would have low saturation and contrast. All new photo editors have one click fix for this problem by applying to such photo specific camera profile. It would make photo look like it was shown on the camera screen.
All new photo editors go steps further: also allowing to integrate in the photo different sky, background, foreground, new main subject, details, sun with sun rays etc. In other words, one does not need to photograph, as photo can be made. You can learn howl on YouTube for each available photo editor.
Personally, I do not like it. These images should be posted under digital art or creative categories as they are created and fantasy.
