the eye is almost unseen! the cropping is too tight! the light is too strong! IMHO!

Nice idea, but the eye is kind of lifeless and the whole photo has the feel of an enlargement. Why don`t you try retaking it with the horses head filling the frame instead of recycling an old shot?

Nice! The eye on the horse is very kind - as the title referes. I do agree that the cropping is to tight. But the idea is great. I like it!
