Lucky is not the word what I will use when it`s coming to take great image of wild animal.
Sometimes lucky is a way to get good picture at right moment but phossibility to "win in lottery" for several times isn`t obvious.
Here is a link for one Finnish guy, who has excellent portraits of birds http://www.kolumbus.fi/vesa.huttunen/
Knowledge of animals behavior is one of the most important thing when yo`re talking about natural photographing.
I`m sord of envious for those who take good nature pictures one after other. No, I will allow that to them because it`s price of their invest of time and knowledge for hunting with camera. I bow for them.
In this image everything is excellent but presentation bit limp`s by technically and that`s why I did give "only 2 points" for it.
Thank you for your kind comments. This was the first trip with a Sony camcorder along and I must confess, I missed many chances with my 35 mm still camera.
I travelled to the Canadian Rockies to be there for the rutting season of the wapiti (we call them elk in North America). If you enjoy wildlife shots stay tuned, I plan to post more. Photography is purely a hobby for me and I`m glad I found this forum where I can have people much better at this art than I judge my pictures. I am in awe of the quality of photos on here.
You were definitely in the right place at the right time! Incredible capture. Congrats, Ken!
Excellent shot.
Regards,
Timo
