For this picture I used a CD as a filter. No further retouch. Canon 500mm f/8 and 2 duplicators by Canon. The sky was not very clear :-(

I`d like to advise about the danger of this experiment.
NEVER try to look at the sun through a CD!!!
It strongly filters UV wavelength but IR passes perfectly even through the pentaprism and lenses.
I used one of the rugged reflex ever, the Canon F-1 old. Titanium shutter and focusing screen made of glass. I do not recommend to use cloth or fabric shutter cameras for solar photography. Digital cameras are safe for the eyes but not for the CCD, since it is very sensitive to IR.

Very interesting experiment and superb result,my friend. However you are right to precize precautions and risks.
