This candid portrait speaks to me...it`s a wonderful image, Rene..He is so very appealing...His facial expression exudes pride and satisfaction.. the eyes are kind and gentle...I love the contrast between the straw hues and the back-ground..the cobalt blue over his left shoulder gives this simple, hard-working farmer an almost regal character...To My Favorites....for sure..

I love unshaved peasants in straw hats, Rene. A bit additional contrast`d do it just tip-top, if possible. I like his playful look. That`s what I call a portrait.
