The cathedral of St. Sofia has been constructed in the time of emperor Justiniane I (548) then it was the biggest Christian temple in the world. Later the cathedral repeatedly burned, collapsed during invasions and earthquakes, and also was reconstructed. St. Sofia was a Christian temple almost 1000 years, almost 500 years - a mosque, and since 1935 it is a museum. Northern gallery.
