City St.-Petersburg. On a small triangular island derivated by the river Moika and channels Krukov and Krushtein, the unique monument of the industrial architecture XVIII century - ensemble " New Holland " is. The gallery shipyard disposed nearby, channels, affinity of embayment - has stipulated all this appearance of a title.
From the river Moika to basin on an island carries on the channel, above which one the majestic arch - remarkable creation Vallen-Delamot was pushed up. Infrequent combination of a red building brick and granite, from blocks which one the strings load-carrying powerful entablement are folded attaches this building harmony and monumentality.
In 1893 year in "New Holland " the shipbuilding experimental tank was created, where in the begining of XX century the produced scientist A.N.Krylov, working above the theory of subdivision of ships conducted expertises.

Борис, я когда в позапрошлом году была в Питере
каталась по каналам - так мне это место очень понравилось.
Что то необыкновенное, правда?

Олечка, я сам это место в первый раз увидел, хотя бывал в Ленинграде множество раз. Но как-то не доводилось бывать в этом районе. Видел эту арку только на картинах и фото. А в этот раз решил, что обязательно найду это место и сниму. Рад, что твое мнение, относительно "Новой Голландии" совпадает с моим!
