good choice o the place.....and an equally good composition...
but there`s a lot o distortions due to the bushes...and the photo doesn`t appear that clear. (maybe it is the scanning quality)...

Thanks for your comment. You are right. Certainly, scanned photos are improved when you use the USM (Un Sharp Mask) from Photoshop or similar, as I’m realizing. I’ll have it in the scope.

Excellent work here!!!
Where is this place? How many seconds you used for this capture?
Best regards

So you survived to “snake attack” shot, congratulations! Does a snake byte hurt very much?

This place is near a small town named “Orbaneja del Castillo” in the province of Burgos, in Spain. Although Burgos is quite dry, some canyons are very wet.

I used my Nikon FE with a Tamron 28 – 70 mm f 3,5 – 4,5 lens and Fujichrome Velvia 50 ISO. Probably I adjusted 28 mm, focused and closed diaphragms until to get 1/60 or not slower than 1/30. Although I was carrying a tripod I think I didn`t use it. Not always is possible to use it, because if it is not enough tall, you cant look over some obstacles when you shot looking down. I think I used a polarizer filter, the filter you always must carry with (fantastic).

By this time, Iґm sure I didnґt take in account about hyperfocal distance; subject was very near to consider it, background didnґt mind me. If I could, I would adjusted f8 or f11, no more closed, to get the best yield of the lens.
