Excellent work and technique
Glad you liked it, Adel. My pleasure to have your response. Thank you.
good and nice work!
Pleased to have your positive response for it. Thank you very much, Remi
Very impressive.
Thank you, David. Glad you enjoyed my fantasy
I pictured it close to my company office in Redwood City, CA. Made about a couple of dosens of shots, the majority of them without a tripod (bad!) and got a few of them relatively fine.
Actually there was a nice shot of a full eclipse published in San Francisco Chronicle newspaper, but the print quality was very poor, and it was hard to tell if the original was the same or better.
Yes indeed, why not imagine the unimaginable that`s one of the great things in photography, a subjective rendering of reality seen through an objective ! However, I personally find the moon a bit overwhelming, would have kept it smaller. If it would be over a desert like the monument valley in Arizona, them maybe as it would seem as an alien word, now the SF bridge is too real to use this subterfuge. Again, this is my personal opinion and feeling
Certainly, all of us are different and have discrete, personal vision, feelings and understanding of the world. I would say the vision of the object, the proportion as we know it - a subject of education, cultural heritage, the traditions of the society. However we don`t notice how often we are using clichй.
This "fantasy" isn`t something revolutionary; it doesn`t bear the idea of changing the world, or does not pretend to be a messiah delivering of a new wave in the art. Indeed, it is even not unique. It is just an attempt to look at the things different, getting rid of clichй. Recall John Lennon’s “Imagine”. Just imagine, as if it would have been a real picture from the parallel Universe, where GG Bridge exists along with the giant Moon, nothing else
What do you say?
?
Indeed, I accept your explanation, as I said it is my personal view, to me the moon is too big. For a parallel universe I would have preferred a desert or monument valley in AZ as I said. It is because of this different view and taste that some like things which others despise. And, lets be honest, if everybody would like exactly the same things, the world would be very boring.
