we could speak about three distinct planes here the dry boards plus the wet ones as an exception that does not alter much on the one hand as opposed to 1) the water surface and 2) the submerged boards respectively on the other hand
the two angles – the boards running to the water and the water surface and the submerged boards respectively – create illusions the eye is happy to be splashed with

also the indefinite texture of the water at the top and the soft rectangular shape of the picture turn it into – if we were to go for some hierarchy – the nicest of the series
