This really is a photograph manipulated with Photoshop. I happen to enjoy it, so who cares that it is not representational. It was just a Frangipani Caterpiller.

There is no rule in photography that says your pictures must be a completely literal translation of your subject !!! This is a very nice digital work, a creative approach, could be an abstraction...
