well i don`t know how you can call it excellent - it`s 100% homemade and amature. the composition is accidental, so is the lightning.... sorry!

Hi Kuldar,
referring to Adelґs comment: beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Every one sees a little differently.
Perhaps the freshness is the strenth in this photo, all amateur, accidental posing and light. Good.

first welcome to photoforum.ru - hope you enjoy this place. The shot wasnґt meant to be art rather then a try and thatґs the best way to learn and to improve. Unfortunately there are no more EXIFґs in the picture so i can only refer to what i see and/or assume.

Flash delivers always a very hard and unnatural light - that causes this very white part on the ankle and leg of the girl whilst the rest is very nice grey-shaded. Advice therefore: if you canґt bounce the flash donґt use it. Use any other lightsource which gives you a propper exposure and mood as you intended for the shot.

Cropping away parts of a picture is something that may or may not help a picture. In this case i find it a bit split - whilst nobody may care about the models right arm some may care about her knee. No Advice on that - just something you should care about when cropping.

Appart from that - itґs a nice try from a beginner and i do hope that the remarks did what they should: encourage you to go on, show pictures, get replies and grow with every shot.

Virgil: Thanx for such a detailed comment. You are absolutely right: this wasn't meant as an art, or even as an exrecise. It was a test-shot with an ass-cheap Canon PowerShot, just to see if it works at all. The only reason it ended up here is because the model liked her ass. She said "it's not as big here as I thought it is."
As for the flash, I don't use it at all. You need at least two flash units with bouncers to get a semi-decent result, and carrying it all around is not worht it. If one needs to hightlight the shadows on a sunny day, a built-in flash is enought.
As for the cropping, I like it tight, but I almost always do it when I shoot.

Hi Nick,

maybe you consider to leave a note with your pictures when you upload it as people maybe do wrong assumptions. As your reply gives the idea that you know the basics i hope we see some more improved shots in the future.
