Charming creation
Happy new year Peter! Hope that we can see more of such
outstanding shots from you also in the coming year!!!
Peter, this frame is a fraction dark and yes wildlife is a difficulty but the competion is fierce. A fraction of minor fill would have scared him off,
perhaps it will be needed next frame. Set up so all is as good as can be gotten and hit that shutter with the concept that by using fill flash you may have only one frame in the day until the bird accepts flash. A metz at 40 fet with a 300mm may do it.
Again to all reading this great year ahead, lets make it better than great.

This is a Hawk. I believe it is the Red-tail but may be the Feruginous or a European specis I do not know.
I forgive you. ))

This is a Hawk in my humble opinion. I believe it is the Red-tail but may be the Feruginous or a European specis I do not know.

Wonderful shot! I love the way you caught the tail feathers outlined in the right hand corner. This must have been a very difficult shot!
Happy New Year, Peter.
Like Al, I too think that the 1st posting was of more successful photograph. Subject matter, setting, lighting - all the same, only the angle is somewhat different - is it really worth reposting what`s essentially the same? Well, that`s just my two cents, you`re the boss, of course ) Happy new year!
And what about he is thinking?
Happy New Year, Peter!
