Nicely colored eyes give a good contrast . Did you took this shot
indoors as in the eye mirror I can see a window behind?

The eyes and face are wonderful. I believe you may be able to crop just into the eyes and face and get a better image. You are too tight here by under a foot which would have given you the deepth of field you beed for the breast and the roundness of the head. Are you sure you set the F stop as low as it could go for good deepth of field?
