Wow, the lighting is certainly opportune here. The deep blue and green, and the lighter red make for a great color combination. The image shows the expanse of the locale. And the more prominent red barn is a nice focus point. I like the division into fore- mid- and back-ground here. And, the fact that the forest in the foreground is lit and full of details is a feat on your part. I do have some doubts about cropping and composition. I wish the shooting point was a bit higher, so that the branches wouldn`t block the barns they way they do. I know it can be said that the red farm is "hiding" behind the trees, but, still, I think the overall appearance would improve somewhat if the barns were in better, unobstructed view. I`m also not sure about cropping on the sides - I doubt those bare branches provide a good or necessary framing. Finally, I wonder whether the larger building as well as the light tree directly in front of him should be displaced further off center. I`ll try to e-mail you a cropping suggestion, if you don`t mind. I hope you don`t mind my prolonged comment Thanks so much for a glimpse of Vermont - another place I have affection for, outside of Cape Cod and homebase ) And, finally, (this question has been bothering me for a while but I`ve been too lazy to investigate) do you have idea why 99.9% of barns are painted red?! ))

Great Point of view. We do not often get tree top foregrounds at the bottom of the Frame. Do tell us where you shot this from or at least tell me.

this is one of those stories
edgar allan poe also had an explanation for one particular poem of his – it could actually work for more – and fascinating though it is a lot of critics don`t buy it it would be too beautiful they imply to be true
others – artists writers composers aso – attempted the same but their explanations only made it explicit that they had failed and perhaps even the extent to which they had done so becomes evident
the thing behind willingness to reject explanations is people do not want to be given any that spoils the mystery they want to do the work of looking for it themselves and have the satisfaction of finding something that is likely to be it
you deprive them of this basic element associated with `analysis` and you get them angry with you – for feeling frustrated
therefore my notes to this particular picture – drawing upon your own words – would have been
