White Monastery # 2
This place was a Pharaonic temple, then changed into Greko Roman temple , now it is a Coptic monastery.

Another fascinating shot! Great details and textures in what must have been a rather difficult shot with the bright light.

Very good use of perspective. The strong lines of the photo draw me into it and I am very aware of all of the details that you have captured so well. The deep blue sky is a nice contrast to the ancient monastery.

congratulations on the best photo of the month
and for being the discussed member f the week too
quite an achievement
it shows you take good pictures and there are many people to acknowledge that

and thank you for caring to write back and provide the explanations i sometimes request

there used to be something like a school of painting in my hometown at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th they used to boast with the special kind of blue that you could find in the sky above these places
well i see it in your pictures there is no shortage of beautiful blue in some of the places you go to

also there is no shortage of historical sites

your picture here is thus a twofold historical record
