The city of Akko is located in northern part of the Western Galilee at coast of Mediterranean sea. The exact origin of name Акко is not known. One of legends narrates that waters of the Flood have stopped at border of this city. "Till now" - hebrev sounding of these words became name Акко. To city about 5 thousand years. Governors of all empires known to us and empires have visited here. Presence at city of crusaders, has transformed Акко into capital of their kingdom.
Similarly to Jerusalem in Акко too there is an Old city in which has changed nothing, at least, for pair centuries. Any city of this epoch has not reached up to now in such condition and in such safety. Per 2001 the Committee on a world heritage of UNESCO has included Акко in the list of Outstanding world values.
