Interesting, but the composition doesn't work for me. It is not that it is too dark (or bright or lacks a deal of tonal range).

I doesn't work for me because I feel that the negative and positive spaces (black and white) lack symetry which tends to jar. Perhaps cropping the sides would actually add some interest, reather than diminish it.
