this brings us back to the mundane to what is most everyday-like
yet the manner in which it does that is not common
the black void around and the special kind of light and the way it focuses and then decreases to barely touch what is more remote make the image almost surreal - the crate is not connected to anything it even seems not only independent but also to have the capacity to propel itself as if a spacecraft of some sort
the symbolism of the egg plus the number relate this picture to the making of the/a world
to a beginning that could perhaps have been different if only the crate were full
for indeed where are the other eggs where have they disappeared what have they been used for
or what have they been saved for
and why

i probably see what you might not think is there
but you give me - the viewer - this incredible gift of allowing me to fancy
to build what is not but could be

Very good light. Interesting shot of such a regular object, but the light make it looks unusual...
