This ruin was in Northern Arizona on the horizon opposite the sunset to the East. The sky above the "Painted Desert" was painted in blues and pink. The ruin dates back to 12 century. This region of the country was populated at that time by a group of Native Americans that archeologists refer to as Anasasi. Lomaki is a Hopi word for "Beautiful house"

Thanks. The effect on the sky was mother nature's though. It was very bizzarre. to look out over the eastern horizon and see the pink band in the sky. I found myself fumbling to try and catch that unusual phenomena before the light changed. I wish I had more time to set up the shot.
