Betatakin in Hopi means "Ledge House" There are 135 rooms in this ruin which is part of the Navajo National Monument. They blend in very well with the surrounding cliff. Other Ruins at the National Monument include Keet/Seel and Transcription house. I did get some closeups of the Ruin through a telephoto lens, but hikers are permitted to visit Keet/Seel only once daily. The We missed that this time of day and the dogs were not permitted to join us, if we were able to hike. This was only very slight zoom on the ruins, in an attempt to catch some of the surrounding canyons beauty. I believe these were occupied in the 14th century.

Pleasing composition - the pine nicely frames the cavern. Unfortunately, you do not see the ruins well in the photo. Still, it's a classic canyon picture, with dead pine, arched and varnished rock and juniper.
