Just a quick photo to add one bit of variety to my recent posts about San Xavier Del Bac. This is also something found at the place where I call home. It is afectionately called the "Boneyard" at Davis Monthan Air Force Base.
They occasionally reclaim parts here and there on these multi-million dollar behemoths that take up miles and miles of desert here in Tucson which are stacked nose to tail in neat rows that go for miles, unless they are fortunate enough to become salvage. Their fortune at being used again for parts probably comes at the cost of other's misfortunes... meaning war, or heightened training missions / need for intellegence and tightened security.

Nice shot Chig. We have one about the same except it is for commercial craft. Smaller field, but if you should go by those old desert towns I to;d you about, you are only about 15 miles away and they let you in to take photos. A lot of movie shoots are done out there. The town is called Mojave ! Best regards , Barry smile ))
