Gravestone Silver nitrate

примечания:
This print was taken with a Nikon coolpix8800 camera; it was altered in Adobe Photoshop to convert it to a black and white image with an image brightness/contrast adjustment of +18 Brightness/ +48 Contrasts. I then image invert to turn it into a negative. After that I printed the image onto a piece of transparency using a HP LaserJet 9000. Thus the small lines running through the image (it’s a university printer which has been abused.) It was then taken to the darkroom and a piece of salted paper non-gelatin was coated with Silver nitrate and exposed in full sunlight for 6.5 minutes at around 2 pm. It was washed in running water for 5 minutes, fixed in salted fixer for 1 minute and hung to dry for 2 hours. I then scanned it in on Epson perfection 1240U. I altered the size to 700 x 1082 and saved it as a .gif file the file size went from 5.83MB to 648k if you note the sides that are white is where the silver nitrate did not bind to the paper properly therefore there was no light sensitivity at those points. The brown color is natural for a print using silver nitrate.

how could you remember all these actions.? I took the image on Friday and with the Nikon coolpix8800 it gives you a detailing of the image with all the speeds and settings, when I made the negative I wrote down all the settings. and when I exposed the silver nitrate I wrote down the information as well. Currently I am enrolled in an alternative process class which teaches all of the process that requires direct sun light to print.
It is called salted paper process. This is the first time I ever received an image.

Here are a site that have the information on the processes.
