I live on the east end of Lake Huron (Georgian Bay) in Ontario. I let my "front yard" (lower water levels in the bay in the past 20 years) grow wild to encourage birds, insects, small animals. I usually take my dog out first thing in the morning to the front yard. He sniffs to see who had dropped by overnight and I bring out my camera in case something catches my eye. Several dozen buttercups were tall and straight yesterday morning.
