Hi William,

i like the shot and the idea itself but i miss a bit of symetry - on the left you´ve a piece of the bumber - on the right the rest of the tyre is cropped away. My idea of the shot - imagine a s-shape curve (the fender) going from upper right to lower left (without the bumper) - whilst in the upper left you´ve the blue curve of the rest of the fender and in the lower right the complete wheel.

Maybe you give it a try and see yourself.

One last note - i know the reflections of paintings are nasty and can hardly be overcome but in your shot the reflection is totally burned out. In such a case a polfilter helps to avoid this effect.

HTH!

Hi William,

I know that reflections of paintings are nasty and can hardly be overcome but in your shot the reflection is totally burned out and therefore receives to much attention if you look at the shot. In such a case a polfilter helps to avoid this effect.

thanks for your comments.....part of the reason for cutting in on the right was to avoid more conflicting lines and also to eliminate the sunlit section of the street that was behind and below the car..... in a street car show it is hard to control everything....blazing bright light as well.

there is a much smaller Sunday evening outdoor near a hamburger place in a shopping mall where the light is more forgiving, I may try to incorporate your suggestions when I try shooting there later this month.

thanks again.
