Earlier I posted a shot looking down into the New River Gorge. The New River Gorge Bridge is about .5km downstream from that point and is located on U. S. Route 19, just north of Fayetteville, WV.
The bridge is the world's 2nd longest single arch steel span (the Lupu Bridge in Shanghai is 32m longer). At 876 feet above the New River, it is the second highest bridge in the USA. Only the Royal Gorge Bridge over the Arkansas River in Colorado is higher.

A great fete of engineering architecture,I would not like to have to paint this,you would just finish it and have to start all over again.Nice soft focus tones and colours.
