Nuno Álvares Pereira (24 of June 1360 - 1 of November 1431), also known as the Holy one Condestável or Devout Nuno of Holy Maria was a Portuguese general of the century XIV that performed a fundamental paper in the crisis of 1383-1385, where Portugal played to its independence against Castela (Spain ) defeating them on the Batle of Aljubarrota.
This is a monument in his honour.
