Photo Aqua-saurus Rex !! by Cameron Fielding

This "monster" leapt over the harbour defenses the other day. Older than the dinosaurs, but showing plenty of life and energy.

A very strong wind was coming from the left (the west), and within three seconds the boat completely disappeared under a veil of tumbling and crashing whiteness. The boat was at anchor with nobody onboard..... fortunately.

To give you an idea of the proportions - the boat is about 35 feet long, the wall about 30 feet high from the visible water level. That makes this water shoot over 100 feet high..... !

Although the tones and contrasts aren't great (it was raining and the air filled with a salty mist), this image is one of my favourites for it's sheer ferocity and the aggressive "brooding" shape of the white water.

Thats is a spectacular sight to behold !! Excellent work capturing natures very powerful fury ! Proportions are self explanatory in this one ! I just saw alot of these boats at the Atlanta boat show in the world congress center ! That wave would give a tanker a hard time smile
