This is a picture of the Wallace monument. This monument has been erected in the memory of the Scottish hero William the Wallace who kicked the English out of Scotland in the 14 century. You may have hear of him if you've seen the movie Braveheart.
The colours are natural, I've just forced a little bit the contrast.

a brave hero, a nice capture.. with his monument at that beautiful Sterling, but also with all scottish atmosphere in your image

Traditional Scottish winter weather..... dull and dark. Interesting conertations with the Wallace monument, bearing in mind current ongoing political discussions over Scottish independence from the UK.

ah, my Celtic cousins, i havent seen this tribute before but i am pleased to view it. My alexander surname originates from scotland, My ancestors traced to be highlanders, and then welsh archers who also fought english. this is a special photo
