Blackburnian Warbler - Portrait
As I was having my morning coffe, I turned to look out of my house-office window and saw this little guy lying on my deck on his side! Fearing the worst, I went out and picked him up. He appeared lifeless but i held him in my hand and went in the house where I put on my jacket and held him inside it in my hand. Eventually I felt him squeeze my finger(or I thought I did). A while later I jostled him and yes, he moved and squeezed my finger. Long story short, he finally regained himself and I took him outside where he flew off and landed on this rock in the photo. I then had a brain flash-get the camera! He rewarded me by letting me get up real close in macro mode and later when he flew up a tree I got my ladder and went after him. He stayed in the tree letting me get within macro range for at least 20 minutes before finally leaving for parts unknown. So here is one of my efforts!
