I`ll post panorama (but very later) and, maybe, another 1 or 2 shots. You can see shots, which are quickly processed at my site, if it`s intresting. And read an article, I`ve found in english.
Briefly, the village was founded by Stroganov - famous russian nobles. There were salt works, so town took its name. Also it was quite important trade town. Later soda-manufacturing industry founded near Usolie at the other shore of Kama.

Goats... I remembered it.
In spite of the effords to make Usolie a tousm center by reconstructing old houses and churches, placing town advertisement aside the roads and so; it remains just a little town, even it looks like more than simple village. Rear tourists and inhabitants are walking, while goats are just eating grass-plots, chikens are cackling at the main square. Life is only slightly change at this place during hundreds of years...
That was a reporting shot, where I just wanted to remember that, but not to express at the shot. Maybe I even didn`t want to do this because of my melnholy and aloneness...

А вот под Переславлем-Залесским есть старинное село Усолье. Тоже на берегу (большого озера) и тоже бывший соляной промысел.
Спасибо, интересно было: я более 10 минут смотрел карту - нет, потом гугл - разрозненнеые сведения. оказалось оно нынче зовётся Купанское (ну, у меня на всех картах так). И самое удивительное - там были эпидемии малярии! Это в средней полосе!
