Photo A look back at our walk from Lake Obapin by Jim Griffin

This is a look back at the trail taken from Lake Obapin to All Soul's prospect on the alpine circuit at Lake O'Hara. There were a couple of snow patches that needed to be traversed. I learned a very valuable lesson here. The first snow patch I struggled through. Thus, the second one I thought I would have the bright idea of going around. Not the wisest move in the world as there was loose rock and I started to slide toward a ledge. Fortunately, I was able to catch myself and get back to the trail.(it would have been a long fall). Lesson learned to stay on the trail. The trail can be seen in the lower right. Lake Obapin is about at 1 oclock in the picture if you remember the glaciers that were around the lake. Now it's time to start our steep descent.
