The Hike to Sunshine Meadows begins
After the tough hike at Lake O'hara the day before, I decided to do an easier hike at Sunshine Meadows. Sunshine Meadows is a ski resort in the winter just outside of Banff Alberta Canada. My purpose of this hike was twofold. First, to do an easier but beautiful hike after the tough day before. And second, to see Mt. Assiniboine from a distancewhich is considered the Matterhorn of the Canadian Rockies. You can actually hike a longer distance to Mt. Assiniboine if you like although it would be more than a day hike. A short bus ride leads up a dirt road to the start of this hike. This photo is taken at the beginning as there is a brief uphill climb to the flatter meadows. Scanned negative

This would be perfect for the 4 wheeler Billy. Plenty of open space and not rocky!!!
