Fine flower!
Black color is well combined with red, but here, in my opinion, it was not required to cut out and fill in all black. I like a natural background.
But a composition and technics of execution – excellent!

Red is difficult and overpowering; details become lost. I have not mastered it either. Photo needs a more interesting angle - too much black on the right.

Cheeta knows how to make digital art with photo.
You don`t.
Cheeta see a borderline around petals in flower in left side of photo.
You forgot them.
Backgroud color is black, right? Cheeta saw it.
