Wonderful place. Great atmosphere! So cozy...so rustic... the light is excellent ... it's a place where we desire to enter and drink a cup of wine and dream a litle bit after a long working day!

it was exactly like that,... but after wine I was not in a mood to take photos
By the way, this is very old cave (roman period),... man made, and it had been used for storing food. Now it is bar and they serve only wine!

it is man made cave from roman period and it had been used for storing food. Now some guy made a bar there and he serves only wine from his vineyards. I will attach you another photo. This is how it looks in front of cave. Place is very close to river and high above cave is Belgrade old down town. Those 2 poles you can see, .. are some ancient lifting device, ... used from taking food out of cave, into the city. In that area of Belgrade, .. there are a lot of similar caves, used for same thing, .. and they even say, ... there was underground tunnel going on the bottom of Sava river , used for taking fresh water. Similar caves exist on other side of river in part of Belgrade called Zemun. Scientists are still not sure if they are connected coz of river, but still as you can see Sil we have another "Belgrade" hidden underground. мой вариант фото

no it is safe, it stands there for many centuries and it will be there for many more. it can be scary only if you are claustrophobic, .. but after few glasses of wine it will be all gone
