the Lopuhinsky garden is everything that remains from extensive landscape park which in the end of XVIII – the XIX-th century beginning surrounded manor светлейшего prince Peter Vasilevicha Lopukhin, the general public prosecutor, and subsequently the Minister of Justice. The park occupied enormous space from Big Nevki to present street Graftio. In 1848 princely possession were got by large Petersburg lesotorgovets-millionaire Vasily Fedulovich Gromov. Soon on a place of the former manor of prince Lopukhin the private residence known and until now as a summer residence of Gromova has been built wooden, on the stone base. It seems that this unique old wooden building which has escaped on Pharmaceutical island (under available data the house has been constructed by architects Ermine and Vintergalterom). From outside a pond before the house the granite terrace with shod lattices and descent to water is arranged. Today in this romantic, but the started and collapsing building small firms live some. Inside original interiors here and there have remained: the wooden ceilings painted with arabesques, an intricate stucco moulding on walls, an ancient chandelier in a lobby.
